Tiguex Massacres (New Mexico)

Spaniards seize the land, houses, food, and clothing of the Tiguex villagers and rape their women. The Tiguex fight back but are overwhelmed by the Spanish military. The Spanish burn at the stake the 50 Tiguex who surrender, and murder 200 fleeing warriors of the Moho Pueblo (“List of Indian massacres”).
